Goblet Osbeckia is a perennial shrub growing upright and reaching heights of 0.5-2 m. Their branches are branched, with young ones being four-edged and having short, stiff hairs mostly at the nodes. Flowers are arranged in a at branch-ends panicle with 6-12 blooms. Each flower has four sepals that are lanceshaped and fringed with hairs, along with hairless, obovate petals that come in pink to purple hues. There are eight stamens with yellow anthers shaped like an 'S'. Fruits are goblet shaped, 7-11 x 2-6 mm, with a long neck. Goblet Osbeckia is native to NE India, above 500 m elevations.
